SZYMBARK CASTLE
Ruins of Szymbark Castle were the mise-en-scene of Volker Schlöndorff film ‘The Ogre’ in 1995 (starring John Malkovich).
FINCKENSTEIN PALACE
The Finckenstein Palace in Kamieniec was the spot of secret meetings of Napoleon and Maria Walewska.
MALBORK
Malbork – former capital of the Monastic Teutonic Order State. The Teutonic castle in Malbork is undoubtedly one of the most precious and rare monuments in Poland. It is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The biggest collection of amber dates back to the Duchy of Prussia period, the Teutonic Order times and from 16th to 21th century is located in Malbork Castle.

KWIDZYN CASTLE
The most characteristic part of the castle in Kwidzyn is gdanisko i.e. castle toilette… The name was derived from Gdansk, because of an unwillingness of Teutonic knights to Gdansk, which inhabitants had kicked against Teutonic ruling in Pomerania many times.

TORUN TEUTONIC CASTLE
In 1454 Torun Teutonic Castle was almost completely destroyed by city’s inhabitants who were tired of the Teutonic rules. The ruins of the castle was then used also as the rubbish dump.
